Visitors can now enjoy discounted admission to both Immaginario Scientifico in Trieste and the Castle of Duino, thanks to a new partnership between the two institutions.

Visitors who present a valid ticket purchased at either location are entitled to the following reduced rates:

• Duino Castle: €10 instead of €12.50
• Immaginario Scientifico (Trieste): €8 instead of €10

The agreement, valid until 31 December 2027, aims to encourage visitors to discover the region’s rich cultural heritage by offering families, tourists and local visitors the opportunity to enjoy two distinct yet complementary experiences.

Home to the Princes della Torre e Tasso, Duino Castle is a historic residence that preserves centuries of history. Its visitor route also features Pezzi di storia, a permanent exhibition of LEGO® brick installations. At Immaginario Scientifico, visitors explore science through hands-on discovery, with interactive exhibits, live demonstrations and engaging educational activities.

The partnership also reflects a long-standing connection between Duino Castle and Trieste’s scientific community. It was Prince Raimondo della Torre e Tasso who provided crucial practical and diplomatic support for the creation of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), helping physicist Paolo Budinich turn his vision into reality. Budinich also founded Immaginario Scientifico, creating a shared legacy that continues to shape the region today. This new collaboration between Duino Castle and Trieste’s science museum is the latest expression of that enduring connection.
